Kerwynn Williams has been all kinds of inefficient since taking over as the Arizona Cardinals' lead back as he has yet to post double-digit fantasy points in a game this year despite notching at least 15 carries in three different games.
There’s nothing more appealing for a running back in fantasy football than a big workload, though, and accounting for 73.6% of the Cardinals’ running back carries over those three games, Williams is a safe bet to keep seeing significant action moving forward. He even has real potential for increased volume here, as the Cardinals have mostly been playing from behind in those games (tending to force a more pass-heavy game-script), and they have opened as favorites against the Giants in Week 16.
Making things even better, the grossly ineffective Williams could also get a bump in efficiency against the G-Men. Our metrics have the Giants as a below-average unit against the run, and they have given up top-10 fantasy production to running backs.
