By now you've heard the gushing over Ben Roethlisberger's juicy matchup against the Houston Texans and their 25th-overall passing defense (via our numbers). That makes this as good a time as any to remind everyone of Roethlisberger's road splits the past three seasons (as shown below):
Place | Games | YPG | YPA | Comp % | TD | INT |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Home | 19 | 327.3 | 8.08 | 67.30% | 52 | 20 |
Road | 21 | 264.9 | 7.5 | 63.20% | 24 | 23 |
Meanwhile, Le'Veon Bell has scored 64.7% (22 of 34) of his career rushing touchdowns on the road. JuJu Smith-Schuster or Eli Rogers could individually produce seeing as how corner Kevin Johnson has allowed a reception on 77% of his targets this season. (With Antonio Bryant inactive, Rogers should see a massive uptick in usage since he played a season-high 74.32% of snaps in Week 12 when Smith-Schuster was out.)
For large entry tournaments in daily fantasy, though, the pivot is to trust historical trends and pay for Bell against a Texans defense that's surrendered 144.2 rushing yards per game in its last four contests.
