Zach Ertz missed Week 14, as he was in the league's concussion protocol, but you wouldn't know it. The NFC's Pro Bowl starter returned Sunday and played 59 of 67 (88%) offensive snaps for the Philadelphia Eagles.
More importantly, Ertz proved there's no reason to be concerned about his volume from Nick Foles moving forward. With Carson Wentz under center, Ertz averaged a 21.2% target share. With Foles commanding the offense, Ertz saw nine targets and saw a 23.6% share.
The New York Giants admittedly struggle in defending tight ends, allowing the third-highest percentage of fantasy points (18%) to the position. On a macro level, however, Ertz has a similar matchup this week against an Oakland Raiders unit that ranks 31st-overall in passing defense (per our metrics) and has allowed the sixth-highest percentage of fantasy points (17%) to that position. In other words, there's no need to worry about starting Ertz in your fantasy championship game.
