While Garoppolo certainly is the waiver-wire quarterback who will garner the majority of the attention, staying in the same division, Drew Stanton deserves a look.
Taking over for Blaine Gabbert, Stanton led the Arizona Cardinals to a 23-0 victory in Week 16 by throwing for 209 yards and 2 scores. It wasn't the biggest yardage volume, but it didn't need to be when the Cardinals led 16-0 after three quarters.
The Week 17 matchup doesn't hurt, either -- he will face his NFC West rival the Seattle Seahawks, who rank an impressive 10th against the pass. But, this defensive unit hasn't been the same in recent weeks without studs Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor and Cliff Avril -- they gave up two passing scores each to Blake Bortles and Jared Goff.
Likely to be heavy underdogs in this contest, look for the passing volume to be there for Stanton and the Cardinals' offense, which already ranks sixth in pass-to-run ratio this season (1.65), making him a sneaky add.
