DraftKings Price: $6,900
I consider Mark Ingram a bargain simply because of the prices of those around him -- in particular, that of Alvin Kamara.
As noted last week in DraftKings Studs to Target, Kamara's and Ingram's usage had been very similar heading into a pivotal matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17. At the time, though, Kamara ($7,900) had cost only $400 more than Ingram ($7,500). It made sense to prefer the former given his ceiling for only a few dollars more.
For whatever reason, Kamara ($8,600) now costs a whopping $1,700 more than Ingram ($6,900) heading into Wild Card Weekend. Note that in Week 17, Ingram's snap rate (56.9%), carries (13), and targets (4) were again comparable to -- if not slightly higher than -- Kamara's (53.45%, 9, and 7).
Our models slate Ingram with 2.40 DraftKings points per $1,000, 0.04 more than Kamara's mark.
