Cap Savings: $200,000
Dead Money: $8,200,000
Coby Fleener has averaged 34.3 receiving yards per game in his two seasons with the team, finding the end zone five times. He managed only 11 games in 2017 after landing on injured reserve with a concussion.
Fleener's advanced metrics weren't bad in his small sample of 2017, but he was an afterthought in the passing game on a team transitioning toward a more run-centric philosophy.
It wouldn't be a good financial move to cut Fleener, so he may survive this offseason. But the dead cap hit drops to $3.2 million in 2019, so this upcoming campaign could be his swan song in New Orleans.
