It's not so staggering to see the odds so short on Murray matching up with the Cleveland Browns.
Few teams were as active as the Browns when it came to shaking up their backfield from a year ago. Out went Isaiah Crowell in free agency, in came Carlos Hyde via the same method and then Nick Chubb in the draft. The Browns also rewarded one of the best receiving backs in the NFL, Duke Johnson, with a new contract.
Johnson wouldn't have much of an impact on Murray's rushing numbers, but the combination of Hyde and Chubb would, in all likelihood, limit Murray to third-rate duties in the absence of injury. The Browns have also spoken of their desire to ride the hot hand at tailback in the coming season, and the numbers would suggest that Murray's hand has been ice cold for quite some time.
For as much as the Browns like to add to the team and wheel-and-deal, this is not the time to forecast a move in their already tight backfield. That being said, it could still happen, so at these odds it might be a good shot to take.
