ADP: 13.11 (WR59)
There may not be a more wide-open positional depth chart this year than the battle at receiver for the Dallas Cowboys.
After cutting Dez Bryant, the 'Boys are going into camp with a depth chart that contains the likes of Allen Hurns, Cole Beasley, Deonte Thompson, Tavon Austin, Noah Brown, Terrance Williams and Michael Gallup.
Not pretty.
There's certainly opportunity here, and someone is gonna catch some passes in Big D. Hurns, who is going in the latter part of the eighth round, is probably the safe bet to lead the team in targets, but there is more than enough available volume -- 219 targets between the departed Dez and the retired Jason Witten -- for Gallup, Dallas' third-round pick this spring, to be a fantasy factor in 2018.
Right after the draft, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Gallup would have a role in Week 1, and Gallup has reportedly shown good rapport with Dak Prescott.
Dallas would probably like to hand it to Ezekiel Elliott as often as possible and grind out wins behind their stout offensive line. The problem with that is they don't have a good defense. We project the Cowboys to have the ninth-worst defense, so they may have to open it up more than they'd like to on the offensive side.
Time will tell which Cowboy steps up out wide, but it's not a bad idea to take a stab with one of Dallas' wideouts, giving Gallup appeal at the back end of drafts.
