Fantasy Football: One Running Back to Target in Each Round of Your Draft

Duke Johnson, Cleveland Browns

ADP: 8.07 (RB39)

According to our projections, Duke Johnson is a screaming value right now. Being taken, on average, as the RB39, our models forecast him to be the PPR RB27.

Johnson probably won't match his numbers from last year's PPR RB11 finish, but he shouldn't be this cheap.

Johnson was a force for the Browns in 2017, particularly in the passing game. He racked up 74 catches, fourth-most among all backs, and gained 693 yards with 3 scores through the air. On the ground, he added 82 carries, 348 yards and 4 more touchdowns.

Again, Johnson is unlikely to be that productive this season. Cleveland added Carlos Hyde and Nick Chubb to the running back room, and in the passing game, Jarvis Landry and Josh Gordon (if healthy) will see their fair share of targets. There's some stiff competition for touches in this offense.

But Johnson's role as a pass-game maven is something that separates him from Hyde and Chubb, so he should continue to see a solid amount of targets. We project Johnson for 61 catches, 500 yards and 1.59 touchdowns in the passing game as well as 70 carries, 315 yards and 2.94 scores as a runner.

He is a guy we want in PPR formats, especially when he's this cheap.
