5 Wide Receivers With Major Touchdown Upside for 2018
The Seahawks have a huge number of vacant red zone targets, leaving room for Doug Baldwin to up his scoring numbers this season.

Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams

Another big-time offense, the Los Angeles Rams rank fifth in our offensive power rankings, and they have the sixth-highest implied total.

This, of course, wouldn't be much of a departure from 2017, when the Rams ranked first in points for. That came with them ranking third in red zone snaps and fourth in red zone pass plays.

With so many targets available, Cooper Kupp's team-high 28.1% market share (ninth in the NFL) was good for 23 targets -- ranking top-five among all players at the position. There aren't many changes to the Rams' offensive weapons this year either. The only notable one is that Sammy Watkins is out and Brandin Cooks is in.

Watkins saw a tame 10 targets inside the 20 (12.2% share) a year ago, and Cooks doesn't figure to take any bigger a chunk of the work. In his 4 NFL seasons, Cooks has never seen more than 12 red zone targets (averaging 10.0 per) or a market share higher than 13.3% (with an 11.1% share overall).

Cooks profiles to play a similar role to what Watkins did. Watkins was predominantly a deep threat, with a 14.4-yard average depth of target last year, while Cooks has marks of 15.4 and 13.0 in the last two seasons. Combining that with Cooks' low red zone usage over his career means it's fair to assume that he's not more of a threat to cut into Kupp's workload than Watkins was.

Combining a top-flight market share with a top-projected offense is a recipe for huge scoring, and it would be no surprise if Kupp led the Rams in receiving touchdowns in 2018.
