8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 1

Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

Flacco is getting pretty deep, and if your league isn't on the ball with quarterback streaming, you may be able to find Andy Dalton available. He's not exactly flying under the radar, but he's still owned in only 28% of Yahoo leagues, meaning that unless you're in a particularly sharp league, he is likely available. He should be your priority over Flacco.

Dalton has proven himself as a capable passer, having ranked 13th in ANY/A in 2016 after posting a career-best 2nd-place ranking in 2015.

2017 was a down year for him, finishing 21st in that category, and that's likely what has people so low on him this year.

Even a full NFL season is a pretty small sample size at 16 games, though. 2017's efficiency mark matched his career-worst from his rookie season and sat well below his career-average, meaning that we can likely expect some regression out of him in 2018.

He combines that with a terrific Week 1 matchup against Indianapolis.

Our preseason power rankings have the Colts ranked dead-last against the pass. They also finished 32nd in our Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play metric in 2017, and their struggles against the pass make them a prime target for Dalton to kick off a bounce-back year against.
