NFL
3 FanDuel Defenses to Target in Week 1

Tennessee Titans

FanDuel Price: $4,200
numberFire Projection: 8.8 FanDuel points

If you are looking for a low-priced option at defense this week, remember the Titans. The team from Tennessee may be on the road in Week 1, but they are in a good spot as a one-point road favorite against a Miami Dolphins team that struggled to score in 2017.

The Dolphins scored just 17.6 points per game last year and traded off their best offensive weapon in Jarvis Landry. His nine touchdowns was nearly a third of all their offensive scores (28) last season. Miami will be dealing with an even further depleted receiving corp on Sunday as DeVante Parker is not expected to play in Week 1 due to injury.

Sunday will also mark the first regular season snaps since 2016 for Ryan Tannehill. His absence in 2017 led to some of the problems with the Miami offense, but he is far from a savior. Tanny has averaged over 1.1 turnovers per game in his career and was picked off seven times in his three previous meetings with the Titans.

Tannehill could be under a lot of duress on Sunday, as well, something he has struggled with in his career as he has been sacked an average of 2.8 times per game. Miami's offensive line is ranked 23rd in the NFL, per our Jim Sannes, and will be up against a Titans defensive front that finished fifth in the NFL with 43 sacks last season.
