7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 1

Danny Amendola, WR, Miami Dolphins

Yahoo! Ownership: 29%

Following another big postseason with the New England Patriots, Danny Amendola cashed in, signing with the Miami Dolphins this offseason. The veteran wideout signed a two-year, $12M deal with Miami to help offset the loss of top receiver Jarvis Landry.

Amendola steps into a Dolphins' receiving crew that got a little more short-staffed this summer, as DeVante Parker and his 96 targets in 2017 are not expected to be available in Week 1. Parker's absence, combined with Landry, leaves over 17 targets per game -- a 47.5% target share -- up for grabs on Sunday.

While Albert Wilson and rookie tight end Michael Gesicki stand to see some of that work, Amendola is in position to benefit the most as the slot receiver. While he is not likely to replicate the 10 targets per game Landry saw out of the slot last year, Amendola should see enough work to make him worth adding against a soft Titans secondary. Tennessee allowed the 8th-most passing yards in 2017 and are 27th in our preseason ranks.

The Dolphins are also looking at a pass-friendly game script with the Titans 1.0 point road favorites in South Beach on Sunday.
