Operating under the assumption Carson Wentz will sit again, Nick Foles is a solid streaming option as he gets a delightful matchup with Buccaneers.
The Bucs were overwhelmed by the Saints in Week 1, giving up 40 points as Drew Brees racked up 439 passing yards and 3 scores. Obviously, Foles is not Superdome Brees nor does he have the weapons Brees has, but this is undeniably a pretty soft spot for the Philadelphia Eagles' offense.
While Foles struggled mightily in Week 1 (117 scoreless passing yards), his final two starts last season were immaculate performances as he lit up the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots in the postseason.
Opponent | Completions | Attempts | Yards | Touchdowns |
---|---|---|---|---|
Vikings | 26 | 33 | 352 | 3 |
Patriots | 28 | 43 | 373 | 3 |
Foles is more than capable of having a big game at Tampa Bay, even with Alshon Jeffery expected to sit.
Philly is a 3.0-point favorite with a solid 23.5-point implied total. Our projections have Foles scoring 16.8 fantasy points, slotting him as Week 2's QB16.
