FanDuel Price: $4,800
numberFire Projection: 12.8 FanDuel points
By far the top priced defense for Week 2, the Los Angeles Rams are well worth the cash this Sunday.
In the season opener, on the road against the Oakland Raiders, the Rams started a bit slow, allowing 13 points and 254 yards in the first half. The second half, though, they flexed their muscle. Not only did they give up just 141 yards, but they also shut out the Raiders in dominant fashion with the secondary snagging two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. All in all, they finished with 17 FanDuel points, the third-most of any team in Week 1.
This Sunday, they get to come back home, where they are 13.0 point favorites over the offensively-anemic Arizona Cardinals.
This past week, the Cardinals struggled mightily to get anything going against the Washington Redskins, scoring just six points. They finished with 213 total yards, the second-lowest total of the week. The usually accurate Sam Bradford completed less than 60 percent of his passes, was sacked twice, and threw a pick. His Passing Net Expected Points of -11.88 was the fourth-lowest of all 37 quarterbacks to attempt a pass in Week 1. Overall, the offense sits 27th in the NFL, per our ranks.
The Cardinals own a league-low implied point total of 16.0 on Sunday plus the Rams defense is projected, by our models, to have by far the most FanDuel points of the week, making them worth the play if you can afford the price.
