Michael Thomas is another player off to a record-setting pace to start his 2018 season. After reeling in 16 receptions for 180 yards and a score in the New Orleans Saints' opening day loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the stud receiver caught another 12 balls for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns in Sunday's narrow win over the hapless and luckless Cleveland Browns.
No player has more receptions than Thomas' 28 this season, and, in fact, no player in NFL history has caught more passes in a season's first two weeks. Thomas surpassed the previous record of 26, which was held by once Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Andre Rison. "Bad Moon" secured 26 of 35 targets in Weeks 1 and 2 in 1994 but was not able to keep up his frenetic pace. He finished the season with only 55 more receptions for a final count of 81 catches, 1,088 yards and 8 touchdowns.
