Ryan Fitzpatrick is not going to continue to throw for 400-plus yards and 4 touchdowns per game. But that doesn't mean that he can't continue offering big fantasy value moving forward -- especially with reports that Jameis Winston is not a lock to start when his suspension is up in Week 4.
So far Fitzpatrick has shredded the defenses that finished 2017 ranked eighth and fourth against the pass last year, per our schedule-adjusted metrics, which makes his ridiculous 2018 numbers (36.1 fantasy points per game) that much more impressive.
He's no stranger to being a viable fantasy option, either, having averaged 18.0 fantasy points per game in his three starts last year.
Now, he's still not much more than a weekly streaming option, but Week 3 isn't a bad matchup for him.
He'll be up against a Pittsburgh Steelers team that allowed 23.6 fantasy points to Tyrod Taylor in Week 1 before giving up 6 touchdowns (and 38.8 fantasy points) to Patrick Mahomes in Week 2. The Steelers gave up 21 points to the Cleveland Browns before permitting twice that to the Kansas City Chiefs, and they don't look like the team that will stop Fitzpatrick's hot start to the year.
