Through two weeks, Blake Bortles sits as the QB8 in the 2018 fantasy football season. Sure, it's a tiny sample size and he's being buoyed by one great game, but he's also got finishes of QB13, QB9 and QB4 in the last three seasons.
Few players produce the kind of consistently solid results that Bortles does while also going as overlooked as he does. Granted, that doesn't mean that Bortles is a guy you want to lock in on a weekly basis -- few quarterbacks meet that criteria. But coming off a big game against New England and heading into a favorable matchup with the Tennessee Titans, he's absolutely a guy you can start in Week 3.
The Titans just allowed 22.8 fantasy points to Deshaun Watson last week, and while Ryan Tannehill didn't burn them for big fantasy numbers in Week 1, he did score 2 touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes against them. They also rank only 23rd in numberFire's Adjusted Defensive Passing Leonard Fournette is expected to return to practice this week, but if his hamstring injury holds him out for one more game, Bortles may even see an increase in fantasy value. The sample size is small, but in a four-game sample without Fournette, Bortles has been very efficient, completing two-thirds of his passes and averaging 28.6 fantasy points per game.
