The Vikings have gotten off to something of a disappointing start to their 2018 campaign, with a 1-2-1 record through four games. But little fault can be laid at the feet of wide receiver Adam Thielen for this.
With 135 yards in the Vikings' Thursday night loss to the Rams, Thielen has eclipsed the 100 yard mark in all four games to start the season.
Thielen is the first player to have at least 100 receiving yards in the first four games of a season since Randy Moss managed it as a member of the New England Patriots in 2007. Moss had 31 receptions for 505 yards and 7 touchdowns four games into that season. Thielen has 40 receptions for 473 yards and 2 touchdowns so far.
Thielen's 473 yards are also the most through a seasons first four games in the history of the Vikings. The previous highest was 434, set in the 2003 season, by Randy Moss.
