Recommending anyone from the NFL's worst offense takes a lot of faith. The Arizona Cardinals are averaging just 9.3 points per game, but the second-year tight end Ricky Seals-Jones has been a vital part of a team whose fortunes are on the rise with Josh Rosen under center.
The tight end is tied for third on the team with 19 targets in four games and has been putting up modest but respectable fantasy numbers the last two games. Seals-Jones led the Cardinals in receiving yards (52) last week versus the Seattle Seahawks and reeled in a 36-yard touchdown the week before against the Chicago Bears, two of the better defenses in the NFL. Both are top-eight units, per our schedule-adjusted metrics.
This weekend, Seals-Jones has his most fantasy-friendly matchup of the year as he faces the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners have been burned for four tight end touchdowns this year, the most of any team in the league. That alone has left then in the bottom-five of fantasy points allowed to tight ends.
With a favorable opponent plus a likely pass-heavy game script coming (the Cardinals are 4.5-point underdogs), Seals-Jones is squarely in our sights as tight end streamer in Week 5.
