5 Players You Can Drop After Week 4
Chris Hogan has underperformed this season in spite of a prime opportunity, and now Julian Edelman is back. Which other fantasy players can be dropped after Week 4?

Peyton Barber, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Let’s be honest: none of us expected that Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Peyton Barber would be half as valuable as he has been as a starter. From Week 13 last season to Week 2 in 2018, Barber has started all but one game, averaging 61 rushing yards and 0.1 touchdowns on 16 carries, with 2 catches on 2 targets for 13 receiving yards (10.0 PPR fantasy points). For a former undrafted rookie on a bad, pass-first offense, that’s not awful production.

In the two games since then, however, Barber has totaled 15 rushes for 57 yards, with just one catch in that time. With the Bucs needing to play catch-up lately, they have completely abandoned the running game and with it, Barber.

To make matters worse, 2018 second-round rookie Ronald Jones was finally active in Week 4 for the first time all season. When he was selected in this year’s draft, it appeared that Barber had already lost his starting job due to the former’s high draft selection. In Jones’ debut, he received slightly more opportunities than Barber (12 to 9), and he appears to be getting worked into the rotation -- if not the starting gig.

Barber’s job security is no more, and he is at best stuck in a muddy timeshare. He’s easily able to be dropped.
