FanDuel Price: $6,700
DraftKings Price: $5,200
For a guy who has averaged 15.5 FanDuel points per game through the first quarter of the season, at first glance Carlos Hyde seems like a bargain at just $6,700. As the lead back in a surprisingly competent Browns offense, Hyde has found pay dirt in each of the team's first four games, including a two-touchdown performance against the Jets in Week 3.
The concern with Hyde coming into the season was the competition he had for touches in backfield-mates Duke Johnson and Nick Chubb. While Johnson has struggled to find a consistent role, Chubb is coming off a 102-yard performance on just 3 carries last week against the Raiders. With Head Coach Hue Jackson saying this week that Chubb needs to get more carries, there is concern that Hyde's role could shrink despite his hot start.
The other factor that causes trepidation for Hyde this week is the matchup against a formidable Baltimore Ravens run defense that has allowed just 3.9 yards per carry to opposing backs. With the Browns as three-point underdogs and likely to trail for a portion of this one, there is also a good chance that passing-down back Duke Johnson sees extended run, further limiting Hyde's touch projection.
Don't succumb to the temptation of the cheap price tag here with Hyde -- he is an easy fade in Week 5.
