Christian McCaffrey has transformed to a workhorse right before our eyes. He has eight carries in the red zone, which leads the Carolina Panthers, and is already more than half of his 2017 total. He's also played on 93% of the Panthers offensive snaps, good for second in the league before their bye week.
McCaffrey will face off against the New York Giants at home, favored by 7.0 points. Being a favorite in Carolina is a spot that McCaffrey has been successful previously in.
He's seen the slightest bump in targets, but most importantly, he gets an extra 2.4 carries per game. He's also been twice as likely to find the end zone, scoring 0.5 touchdowns per game as a home favorite to half that in all other situations. McCaffrey has yet to score in 2018, but his matchup with the Giants may be his best chance to score and return value at a lofty $8,100 price tag.
