Mike Davis is only in play if Chris Carson (hip) is out this week, but after Carson was a surprise inactive on Sunday, it's certainly worth hanging onto Davis to wait and see what happens with Carson's health.
While the offseason discussion was whether it would be Carson or first-round pick Rashaad Penny that would be the team's top back, Davis seems to be firmly ahead of Penny on the depth chart.
In a Carson-less Week 4, neither snaps (47 to 16) nor carries (21 to 9) were even close.
The Seattle Seahawks are sizable underdogs this week, which will likely limit the rushing volume available, but Davis also saw four targets to Penny's zero last week, so he should dominate the backfield work no matter how the game plays out.
