Recommending a fullback for fantasy may seem like desperation. However, with the amount of work Kyle Juszczyk gets in the San Francisco 49ers' passing game and the opportunity this week, it looks like a mistake to pass him up.
Over the last four weeks, Juszczyk has amassed 18 targets, seeing at least four looks in three games. He has seen plenty of playing time for San Fran too, taking his spot on the field in over 60% of offensive plays.
The Niners' back is coming off his most successful week of the year as he hauled in 6 passes for 75 yards in a losing effort against the Arizona Cardinals. Helping him out was the absence of Matt Breida for most of the second half due to injury. Breida has not been ruled out yet for Monday night but is not expected to play with an ankle sprain. If he sits, Juszczyk assumes the passing down back for the Niners with Alfred Morris taking over the rushing workload.
The other positive in Juszczyk's corner will be the likely pas-heavy game script for San Francisco against the Green Bay Packers. San Fran heads to Wisconsin as double-digit underdogs in what should be a high-scoring affair. The Packers have allowed at least 29 points to three of their last four opponents.
With a larger opportunity in a negative game script for San Fran, Juszczyk is worth a flier for those in desperate need this week.
