Buffalo Bills - Pick Six Peterman Takes the Reins
Quarterbacks: Josh Allen (61%), Nathan Peterman (39%)
Running Backs: LeSean McCoy (76%), Chris Ivory (26%)
Wide Receivers: Zay Jones (94%), Kelvin Benjamin (71%), Andre Holmes (53%)
Tight End: Charles Clay (71%)
Down 10-6 to the Houston Texans, Nathan Peterman came into the game for an injured Josh Allen and initially surprised, leading the Bills to a touchdown and the lead. From there, however, the old Peterman returned. He threw a pick-six and added another interception on what would have been a game-tying drive. If Allen can't come back this week, then Peterman could once again struggle in Week 7 against an Indianapolis Colts defense who ranks fourth in the NFL with 19 sacks.
Miami Dolphins - Gore is Pure Efficiency
Quarterback: Brock Osweiler (100%)
Running Backs: Kenyan Drake (63%), Frank Gore (38%)
Wide Receivers: Kenny Stills (95%), Danny Amendola (73%), Albert Wilson (55%), Jakeem Grant (40%)
Tight Ends: A.J. Derby (74%), Michael Gesicki (34%), Durham Smythe (24%)
Frank Gore saw just 30 snaps in Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears, but don't let those numbers deceive you. Gore's 15 carries were two more than Drake, who was on the field for 19 more plays. Gore's carries have increased in each of his past four games, and he topped the century mark for the first time this season. Drake owners are already likely disappointed in his mediocre early season output, and Gore's recent performances could exacerbate that problem.
New England Patriots - Gordon's Stock Rising
Quarterback: Tom Brady (100%)
Running Backs: Sony Michel (47%), James White (42%), Kenjon Barner (6%)
Wide Receivers: Julian Edelman (91%), Josh Gordon (81%), Chris Hogan (60%)
Tight End: Rob Gronkowski (99%)
With a wide receiver as skilled as Josh Gordon getting balls slung to him by Tom Brady, it was only a matter of time before the two formed a rapport. You could argue that happened last week when Brady threw up a jump ball and Gordon pulled it down effortlessly in double coverage. Gordon must have earned Brady's and Belichick's trust, because his snap count percentage jumped from 26% in Week 5 to 81% in Week 6. Flash is back, folks.
New York Jets - Pryor Takes Flight
Quarterback: Sam Darnold (100%)
Running Backs: Bilal Powell (45%), Isaiah Crowell (41%)
Wide Receivers: Jermaine Kearse (83%), Robby Anderson (75%), Terrelle Pryor (62%)
Tight Ends: Neal Sterling (51%), Christopher Herndon (39%)
Quincy Enunwa suffered a high-ankle sprain this week, and that forces a shift in the New York Jets' receiving corps. After seeing no more than 21% of the offensive snaps in each of the past two weeks, Terrelle Pryor was back in the mix in a big way in Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts. Pryor's 62% snap count percentage was the third highest among Jets wide receivers, and that playing time translated into the second-most targets, catches, and receiving yards on the team. If he and Darnold can continue to get on the same page repeatedly, this already surprising 3-3 Jets team could really fly.
