Baker Mayfield, QB, Cleveland Browns

Baker Mayfield has not produced as well as Flacco this year, but with Flacco's solid numbers, that's not as much of an indictment as it usually is.

Mayfield has a shaky -0.05 Passing NEP per drop back, which ranks 31st among the 37 quarterbacks with at least 50 drop backs on the year. He has -22.81 NEP from the 13 sacks he has suffered though, leaving him with a competent 0.07 Passing NEP per drop back if we exclude sacks. We can't absolve him of all fault for those sacks, but considering the fact that Tyrod Taylor was also sacked 13 times in 3 games, some of that is on the Cleveland Browns' offensive line.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of only four teams that has fewer than 10 sacks on the season, so Mayfield should be throwing from a cleaner pocket than we usually see. The Bucs also rank only 31st in our Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play metric and have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing passers.
