7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 7

Tre'Quan Smith, WR, New Orleans Saints

Yahoo! Ownership: 15%

Last time Tre'Quan Smith was on the field he was helping Drew Brees break the all-time passing yards record. Against the Washington Redskins in Week 5, Smith reeled in 111 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Smith was able to post his breakout game as he played 67% of the offensive snaps, due to Ted Ginn Jr. sitting out with an injury. With Ginn being placed on injured reserve this week, expect Smith to continue to see a healthy dose of snaps in a game the Saints may turn to the air more often in as they are underdogs to the Baltimore Ravens.

The matchup looks daunting, as the Ravens are the number-two passing defense, per our schedule adjusted metrics. That doesn't mean they aren't beatable, though, as they have allowed at least 265 passing yards in three of their six games this season. They even gave up 304 yards passing to the Cleveland Browns in Week 5. Baltimore's secondary is beaten up as well with starting cornerbacks Brandon Carr and Marlon Humphrey both missing practice time this week.

A possibly negative game script for the Saints, plus the rapport Brees and Smith showed the last time out, make the rookie well worth a flier.
