Fantasy Football: 5 Things We Learned In Week 7
Week 7 of the NFL season featured one of the biggest -- if not the biggest -- trades of the season. What else can we learn from Week 7?

The Sky Is not Falling on Alvin Kamara

Don't worry -- the sky is not falling. Alvin Kamara triumphantly bounced back from an uncharacteristically quiet Week 5. He finished Week 7 with a reassuring 17 carries for 64 yards and a touchdown, and added 2 receptions for another 11 yards against the strongest defense in the league, according to numberFire's metrics.

Week 5's Monday Night Football performance was definitely more than a little tilting, as Mark Ingram's season debut saw him out-touching Kamara 19 to 9. Kamara handled just six carries -- only one more than gadget quarterback Taysom Hill -- and he watched from the bench as Ingram and Hill scored three times.

Kamara's fantasy owners then had to agonizingly wait through the New Orleans Saints' Week 6 bye, giving them almost two full weeks to dwell on the possibility that their star running back had become no more than an RB3.

Fortunately, Kamara showed everyone that their worries were largely for naught. He carried the rock five more times than Ingram in Week 7. It almost confirms that the Saints were simply resting their stud running back after relying heavily on him for the first four games of the season.

We will have to worry about Hill's carries at the goal line, and Kamara's targets have been down in the last two games, but those of you who feared the worst can relax. Kamara is still one of the top running backs in fantasy football.
