1. Is Phillip Lindsay an Every-Week Start?

While facing 8-plus defenders in the box in over 20 percent of his carries (per NFL.com's Next Gen Stats), Denver Broncos’ running back Phillip Lindsay is averaging 5.8 rushing yards on his on 75 attempts. His 3.09 efficiency rating (also per Next Gen Stats) sits him ahead of the likes of Kerryon Johnson and Marlon Mack.

He hasn’t been nearly as efficient with his touches as guys like Alvin Kamara (3.59), and yet he’s still sitting 11th in rushing yards. And in week 7, he and Royce Freeman shared carries nearly 50-50, with Lindsay taking his 14 carries for 90 and one touchdown. Freeman received 13 carries and eked out only 37 yards.

2. Kerryon Johnson Takes Flight

In Week 7, Kerryon Johnson saw his largest market share of the Detroit backfield work of the season, taking a nearly 2-to-1 carry load over LeGarrette Blount, notching 19 carries to Blount's 10.

Johnson’s 158 yards on the ground and 21 yards receiving placed him number one in running back yardage. Factoring in his average time behind the line of scrimmage ranking just behind Saquon Barkley and Tevin Coleman, he could be producing even better numbers.

It might be too late to pry him away from your leaguemates, but Johnson is a big buy, and worth an overpay.
