8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 8
Kenjon Barner stands to see big volume with the Patriots thin at running back and favored by more than 10 points this week.

Benjamin Watson, TE, New Orleans Saints

Benjamin Watson is one of the more interesting sleeper tight ends we've had in recent weeks.

The New Orleans Saints are a top-five passing offense, and getting a piece of that is always going to come with some upside. They have a 27.0-point implied total against Minnesota this week, which is the sixth-highest on the slate.

The Vikes have been middling against the pass this year, ranking 18th by our metrics, and they have been especially weak against tight ends, allowing the 7th-most fantasy points per game to the position.

The seemingly ageless Watson certainly has a low floor for volume, having games of four and three targets within his last three outings, but that's something you're getting with just about any tight end available on waivers right now. He has still had plenty of games where he gets good involvement, having notched six targets twice in his last four contests, and averaging just shy of five per game on the year.

Even with the decent volume and plus matchup, what you're really counting on with a tight end like Watson is that he finds the end zone. With the Saints' solid implied total, he's got a good shot at doing just that.
