3 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming Options for Week 9
The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 9. What other defenses can you pick up and plug in off the waiver wire this week?

Miami Dolphins

Yahoo Ownership: 24%
numberFire Projected Rank: 3rd

We last saw the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football, allowing Deshaun Watson to throw for five touchdowns. That's not exactly the type of performance that gives you confidence in streaming a defense, but the Week 9 matchup for the Dolphins isn't nearly as threatening as Watson and the Texans.

In Week 9, the Dolphins welcome Sam Darnold and the New York Jets to South Florida for the second meeting between these two teams. In Week 2, the Dolphins beat the Jets 20-12 even with Darnold throwing for 334 yards. But Darnold did throw two interceptions and took three sacks. The Dolphins went on to finish as the second-best fantasy defense in Week 2.

Heading into the rematch, Darnold has had a promising rookie season, but he leads the league in interceptions (10) and he's taken multiple sacks in all but two games this year. While Miami's defense ranks as the fourth-worst this season, per numberFire metrics, they have forced 14 turnovers this season, the 7th-most in the league.

The Dolphins are 3.0-point home favorites in this matchup, which has a 45.0-point over/under, the second-lowest in Week 9. Quarterbacks tend to under-perform in the second matchup between division rivals, and as a rookie quarterback on the road, Darnold is an appealing target for streamers.
