Royce Freeman (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday, so it looks like Devontae Booker will again share backfield duties with Phillip Lindsay.
Lindsay is the top dog in the Denver backfield, but with Freeman out last week, Booker played 44% of the team's offensive snaps, which afforded him 13 opportunities (9 carries and 4 targets).
Booker's extensive passing game usage (he leads Denver running backs with 25 targets on the year, even though he ranks third in the group with 22 rush attempts) makes him especially interesting in a matchup against the Texans.
Houston sits as numberFire's second-ranked rush defense while coming in only 25th against the pass. Even as 1.0-point favorites, the Broncos will likely be forced to go to the air often in this game, which should increase the volume available for Booker.
