Week 9 of the 2018 NFL season was a week of endings.
The final unbeaten team suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday, as the Los Angeles Rams fell in a classic encounter with the red-hot New Orleans Saints, 45-35. In masterminding the victory, Saints quarterback Drew Brees had his 22nd career game with four or more touchdown passes and zero interceptions.
Adam Thielen's streak of consecutive 100-yard receiving games was snapped at eight, though he still found the end zone in the Minnesota Vikings' win over the Detroit Lions. This means the longest current streak is three games, and it belongs to Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones. He had further cause for celebration on Sunday as his long wait for a touchdown finally ended.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the other key stats -- both traditional as well as our advanced statistics -- that emerged from Week 9.
