This one requires a lot of faith in the "volume is king" mantra for running backs.
LeSean McCoy has absolutely stunk for fantasy purposes this season. He has yet to score more than 12.5 FanDuel points in a game, while he has 5.2 points or fewer in four contests. He has run the ball 24 times over his last three games (one of which was an injury-shortened outing) for a mere 24 yards on the ground.
But the volume is there. He's not getting a ton of carries as the Buffalo Bills are almost always trailing, but he has 12 targets to go with 22 carries over his last two games.
The Bills also want to run. When games are within six points, they are the league's second-most run-heavy team. And as 7.0-point underdogs against the New York Jets, we should see them spend more time in a close game than we usually do.
McCoy's efficiency has been egregious, certainly, but 1.0 yards per carry is not something an NFL running back is going to average over a large sample, even on a team as bad as the Bills. With solid volume, McCoy is capable of bouncing back this week.
