With Dak Prescott in a nice spot, who better to pair him with than Cole Beasley, still a key receiver to the offense even with Amari Cooper demanding a large target share.
The scoring environment should be plentiful here for both teams. Out of all the dome games -- and there are four this week -- the Cowboys-Falcons game total has moved a full point indicating that Vegas bettors like this game to go over its posted total. Only the Saints-Eagles, among dome games, have moved more points off their original total. FanDuel Sportsbook currently has this game pegged at 48 points.
There is no question that the Falcons' weak point is against running backs, and that will hold true this week, as well. However, the passing defense ranks near the bottom of the league, sitting next to last, per our schedule-adjusted metrics.
Beasley has primarily run his routes of the slot, which is also a susceptible area against the Falcons. Receivers who have run primarily out of the slot for their respective teams have averaged 8.3 targets, 6.4 catches, 83.7 receiving yards, and 0.20 touchdowns versus Atlanta. That would amount to 16.1 DraftKings points, close to four-times his salary.
The majority of Beasley's targets come at five yards down the field, which has been the sweet spot for attacking the Falcons' defense (per airyards.com).
A high-catch rate receiver going against a defense that allows easy catches gives Beasley a bankable floor this week, and he's a good candidate to pair with Prescott.
