10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 12
With a team-high 14 targets on Sunday, Tre'Quan Smith showed he's still a big part of the Saints' offense. Who else is worth picking up?

At the wasteland of the tight end position, waiver options remain incredibly thin. Once owners find someone who might show any signs of every-week value, they are (rightfully) reluctant to let them go.

Jeff Heuerman is one of the few widely available players at the position that is showing some promise of at least getting consistent volume. In Week 10, his first game since the departure of Demaryius Thomas, Heuerman tallied 11 targets -- a team-high mark that accounted for a big 29% market share of the team's total.

Week 11 saw that (predictably) fall off a bit, but five targets is still a top-10 mark at the position this week (pending Monday Night Football), and he's up to 14 catches for 103 yards over his last 2 games.

The Steelers don't make for an easy matchup this week, with the top-10 defensive ranking they boast in numberFire's metrics, but they allow the 7th-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. This matchup may be a bit softer for Heuerman than it looks on the surface.
