There were signs of a breakout as Josh Adams had been the Philadelphia Eagles' top rusher for a few weeks, but his breakout really came in Week 12. He finally dominated the team's running back work, and that was as true in the red zone as it was anywhere else.
While he had been getting significant work, Adams hadn't accounted for more than 20% of the Eagles' red zone opportunities in any game this season, tallying only 4 opportunities through Week 11.
In Week 12, that workload expanded to 6 opportunities -- all 6 of which were rush attempts. As a team, the Eagles had 6 rushes and 2 targets in the red zone, leaving Adams with a 100% rushing market share and 75% opportunity market share.
He turned in a touchdown with that workload, giving him scores in back-to-back games, and it's no coincidence that those two games are the first two in which he recorded multiple red zone opportunities.
For as high a floor as he gets from his overall volume, the fact that the Eagles leaned so heavily on Adams in scoring range is also a great sign for his ceiling in fantasy football.
