Fantasy Football: 5 Things We Learned in Week 14
Amari Cooper silenced his remaining doubters with another impressive performance. What else can we learn from Week 14?

The Cowboys Got a Steal in Amari Cooper

However you felt about the Dallas Cowboys trading their 2019 first-round draft pick for Amari Cooper earlier this season, you have to admit now that they came out ahead in that trade. That's not to say the Oakland Raiders can't also benefit from the trade -- let's be honest, a first round pick probably helps them more than a wide receiver that's probably about to lock up a huge contract -- but we all have to acknowledge that Cooper has revitalized the entire Dallas offense.

Sunday night's performance was something else. After starting the game off slowly, Cooper exploded in the second half. He caught 10 of his 13 targets and turned them into an incredible 217 yards and a casual 3 touchdowns. Yup. Three touchdowns.

Using numberFire's Net Expected Points (NEP) model -- which uses historical down and distance data to determine how many points a player adds to their team's expected points total -- Cooper's Week 14 outing was the most valuable wide receiver performance of the year. He added 23.43 Reception NEP to the Cowboy's expected total points. His closest competition was Tyreek Hill's amazing game back in Week 11, in which he added 18.52 NEP to his team's total.

It's the second time since the trade that he's gone absolutely bonkers for fantasy. The roller-coaster ride we'd grown used to with him has stabilized -- and without compromising the young superstar's ludicrous ceiling.

If you were able to weather the storm of his inconsistencies with the Raiders, congratulations. It took a while, but Cooper has become one of the top fantasy wide receivers in the league.
