Houston Texans - Miller Time Continues
Quarterback: Deshaun Watson (100%),
Running Backs: Lamar Miller (71%), Alfred Blue (31%)
Wide Receivers: DeAndre Hopkins (100%), Demaryius Thomas (94%), DeAndre Carter (11%)
Tight Ends: Ryan Griffin (82%), Jordan Thomas (46%), Jordan Akins (21%)
Lamar Miller has been one of the most complete backs over the second half of the season. He has at least 100 combined yards or a score in six of his past seven games, and his 298 rushing yards in his past three games has been bested by only Saquon Barkley, Ezekiel Elliott, and Derrick Henry. He was on the field for 71% of the Texans' snaps this week, his second-highest total since Week 4.
Indianapolis Colts - Hines Ready to Roll?
Quarterback: Andrew Luck (100%)
Running Backs: Marlon Mack (60%), Nyheim Hines (42%)
Wide Receivers: T.Y. Hilton (81%), Ryan Grant (73%), Zach Pascal (52%), Chester Rogers (37%)
Tight Ends: Eric Ebron (67%), Ryan Hewitt (39%), Erik Swoope (13%)
Nyheim Hines saw his snaps drop from 61% last week to 42% this week, but we could once again see a reversal in Week 15 when the Indianapolis Colts take on the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have given up 79 receptions to opposing running backs, tied for the seventh most in the league. Coupled with their fourth-best run defense, it is Hines, not Marlon Mack, who could be more instrumental to the Colts' hopes for win number eight.
Jacksonville Jaguars - Hyde Away
Quarterback: Cody Kessler (100%)
Running Backs: Leonard Fournette (77%), T.J. Yeldon (18%)
Wide Receivers: Dede Westbrook (92%), Donte Moncrief (73%), Keelan Cole (72%), Rashad Greene (17%)
Tight End: James O'Shaughnessy (75%), Blake Bell (32%), Ben Koyack (25%)
You don't see Carlos Hyde's name above because I only include players here who play at least 10% of their team's snaps. With Leonard Fournette back, Hyde simply disappeared from the Jags' game plan. Perhaps his usage wouldn't have helped, but it certainly couldn't have hurt given how the Jags showed nothing else of merit on offense, save for a meaningless Dede Westbrook score late in the third quarter. This team is a mess through and through.
Tennessee Titans - Firkser Worth a Look?
Quarterback: Marcus Mariota (100%)
Running Backs: Dion Lewis (63%), Derrick Henry (40%)
Wide Receivers: Corey Davis (83%), Taywan Taylor (68%), Tajae Sharpe (33%), Darius Jennings (28%), Cameron Batson (12%)
Tight Ends: Luke Stocker (65%), Anthony Firkser (40%), MyCole Pruitt (35%), Jonnu Smith (28%)
Jonnu Smith is out for the rest of the regular season. With him out, Anthony Firkser saw the most looks of any Titans tight end in Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Firkser has caught at least three passes for 27 yards in each of the past four weeks. The more impressive feat, however, is that he has caught all 16 of the targets thrown his way this season. While he may not be a TE1, in this season of tight end mediocrity, his five to nine weekly PPR points could provide some consistency.
