Last week, Joe Mixon rebounded from a streak of four games with fewer than 15 carries by rushing 26 times for 111 yards. The Cincinnati Bengals lost three of those four games by two or more touchdowns. This heavily negative game script played a large part in Mixon's decreased volume.
This week, the Bengals are favored by 2.5 points over the Oakland Raiders. When Vegas has the Bengals as a pick'em or favored, Mixon is a fantastic value, averaging 15.1 carries, 3.6 targets, 93 total yards, and 0.6 touchdowns. But as an underdog, those numbers drop to 13.8 carries, 3.1 targets, 75.5 yards, and 0.3 touchdowns.
Mixon gets the ball more and is more efficient on those touches when the Bengals are favored. Per numberFire's DFS projections, Mixon is the second-best value on the main slate at $7,200.
