Between the Lines: Week 15 Snap Count Analysis

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys - Jarwin Sets the Stage

Quarterback: Dak Prescott (100%)

Running Back: Ezekiel Elliott (88%)

Wide Receivers: Michael Gallup (80%), Amari Cooper (78%), Cole Beasley (64%), Allen Hurns (32%), Noah Brown (19%)

Tight End: Blake Jarwin (62%), Dalton Schultz (45%), Rico Gathers (14%)

Blake Jarwin played a season-high 62% of the Dallas Cowboys' snaps this week, securing 4 receptions on 7 targets for 45 yards in an embarrassing 23-0 loss to the Colts. It's the second week in a row he's led Dallas tight ends in snaps and the second week in a row he's seen seven targets. If you're struggling at tight end for the championship game (face it, many of you aren't), he's not a bad spot play against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense who is bottom-10 against the position this year.

New York Giants - When 100% Should Be Avoided

Quarterback: Eli Manning (100%)

Running Backs: Saquon Barkley (100%)

Wide Receivers: Sterling Shepard (100%), Bennie Fowler (71%), Russell Shepard (52%), Corey Coleman (34%), Jawill Davis (17%)

Tight Ends: Evan Engram (69%), Rhett Ellison (43%)

Odell Beckham is trying to make his way back for this week's game, but that decision could well be a game-time call. As such, the Giants will once again hang their hat on Sterling Shepard, the third-year receiver who played 100% of the New York Giants' snaps in Week 15. While he had 9 targets, he could only muster 2 receptions for 37 yards against a stingy Tennessee Titans defense. Don't expect it to get much better against a Colts defense that is coming off a shutout of their own.

Philadelphia Eagles - Smallwood Resurfaces

Quarterback: Nick Foles (100%)

Running Backs: Josh Adams (38%), Darren Sproles (31%), Wendell Smallwood (31%)

Wide Receivers: Alshon Jeffery (100%), Nelson Agholor (98%), Golden Tate (34%)

Tight End: Zach Ertz (92%), Dallas Goedert (61%)

Seeing less than 10% of the team's snaps in each of the Philadelphia Eagles' past four games, Wendell Smallwood was on the field for 31% of the team's plays and was a spark the Eagles desperately needed in their push for the playoffs. Smallwood led the team with 48 rushing yards and found the end zone twice. While Josh Adams may still get more carries going forward, it looks like Cerberus is alive and well in the Eagles' backfield.

Washington Redskins - JJ Jammin'

Quarterback: Josh Johnson (100%)

Running Backs: Adrian Peterson (54%), Chris Thompson (43%), Byron Marshall (10%)

Wide Receivers: Josh Doctson (82%), Michael Floyd (68%), Jamison Crowder (62%), Maurice Harris (44%)

Tight Ends: Jeremy Sprinkle (60%), Vernon Davis (44%), Matt Flanagan (32%)

Josh Johnson played 100% of his teams snaps...and won! I don't care what team you root for, it's hard not to cheer for a guy who just led his team to victory -- his first ever! -- after not being in the league for four years.
