In the last two years, Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett have both caught 49 passes in the regular season for the Los Angeles Rams. Everett has amassed 564 yards and 5 touchdowns while Higbee has 587 yards and 3 scores. But once Cooper Kupp was lost in 2018, it was Everett that the Rams turned to more so than Higbee.
In fact, 21 of Everett’s 50 regular season targets came in the final four games of the season. During the same span, Higbee saw five looks. It sure seems like the Rams trust Everett more as a playmaker.
There was speculation that the Minnesota Vikings tried to acquire Higbee late in the season, so there may be a trade market for him that the team could explore. Or it could be that the Rams value his blocking so much -- and the cost is so little -- that they keep him around for the final year of his contract.
