Earlier in the offseason a few of us had a debate surrounding who the number one receiver for the 2014 fantasy football season should be. I argued in favor of Demaryius Thomas. In case you missed it, let me run through some cliff notes.

In just his second year with Peyton Manning, fourth in the NFL, Thomas put up the third highest Reception NEP total in 2013. In addition, the last two receivers who entered their third full season as Peyton Manning's clear-cut, number one target (Marvin Harrison, 2001; Reggie Wayne, 2009), finished first and fifth in their respective years at the position in fantasy. Thomas seems like a safe bet to finish top five in fantasy scoring among wide receivers this year - feel safe to make him your first selection, especially if you're picking towards the end of the first round.
