6 Things I Learned From Week 6 of the NFL Season
The Cowboys did the unthinkable on Sunday, but are they for real?

The Cardinals Really Missed Carson Palmer

After Week 1, Arizona ranked as the 13th-best passing offense in the NFL, per our Net Expected Points metrics. After Week 5, Arizona ranked 21st.

We shouldn't have expected anything else with Carson Palmer out, and in Week 6, he showed us why the Cardinals need him to really be the complete team they can be. Against an admittedly terrible secondary, Palmer played roughly five points above expectation, throwing the football for the first time in a month. He helped make Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald relevant once again, and led the Cardinals to their fourth win on the year.

Arizona needed him, but so did fantasy football owners. In two games this year, Palmer is averaging over 19 fantasy points per contest. With games against Oakland and Philadelphia upcoming, he should be added off the waiver wire.
