8 Big-Name Players You May Want to Avoid in Week 7
Is your lineup a clown car or the big tent? Check out these eight players to sit in Week 7.

Jason Witten, TE, Dallas Cowboys

Like Marques Colston, most fantasy owners have an image in their heads of Jason Witten that just is no longer true. In his prime, Witten was one of the most highly-effective tight ends both between the 20s and in the red zone. As the 10th-highest targeted tight end, Witten is still never at a loss for targets. However, he just can't seem to find the end zone, and his ability to convert targets into production is waning with age. Among tight ends with 20 or more targets this year, he is the 15th out of 25 in catch rate, and is just 11th in Reception NEP among the same.

This week Dallas goes against the New York Giants, who allowed less than four points per week on average to tight ends through Week 5. Granted, the Giants got gashed last week for 23 points by Eagles' tight end Zach Ertz, but Ertz's athleticism well outstrips Witten's these days. I expect quarterback Tony Romo to do some damage against the Giants' pass defense, but it likely won't be with Jason Witten.
