6 Things I Learned From Week 7 of the NFL Season
An odd Week 7 was highlighted by a historic achievement. But other big stories came out of the week, too.

The Broncos Are Easily the Best Team in Football

While all eyes were on Peyton Manning last night - and rightfully so - it seems that many are ignoring the fact that the Broncos annihilated a good 49ers team.

Coming into Week 7, San Francisco was the 10th-best team according to our numbers, ranking 14th defensively and 17th offensively. They were balanced, and were beating teams in a lot of different ways.

The Broncos didn't care. The best offense in the NFL dropped 42 points, and that number could've been 62 had they kept their foot on the gas pedal throughout the game. The scary thing, too, is that Denver's defense has been really underrated this season. They were the 10th-ranked unit entering Week 7, and held Colin Kaepernick to a Passing NEP score of -3.56. The difference in quarterback play last night, by the way, equalled 27.82 points, or roughly four touchdowns. That's what happens when Peyton Manning is your quarterback.

With no team really separating themselves in the AFC, it would be a surprise to not see Denver representing the conference in this year's Super Bowl.
