6 Big-Name Players You May Want to Avoid in Week 9
Philip Rivers has been a stud this year, but Week 9 could give him some problems.

Vernon Davis, TE, San Francisco 49ers

I'm not sure why Vernon Davis is started in the number of leagues that he is. Sure, he's been hurt, but since Week 1, Davis has yet to put together a fantasy performance - in four games played - better than the 6.9 PPR points he saw against Chicago in Week 2.

Though St. Louis can't stop the pass, it's mostly at the wide receiver position. The Rams rank ninth against tight ends this season in terms of fantasy points allowed, never allowing more than the 68 yards they surrendered last week to the position. Given Davis' poor showing this year, there's no reason to roll him out.
