8 Big-Name Players You May Want to Avoid in Week 13
We're closing in on the fantasy playoffs, and benching some of these big-name guys could help you sneak in.

Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Can lightning strike twice? I'm banking on it this week, doubling down on Marshawn Lynch for your recommended sits. Last week, "Beast Mode" found just seven fantasy points against the stingy Arizona Cardinals rush defense, and this week I don't think he finds much more than that yet again. San Francisco ranks a solid 13th against the run per our metrics, which is a strong suggestion to sit Lynch in this matchup.

There will be plenty of work for him on this run-first team, but I could see the 'Hawks sitting their ailing bell cow - who is still dealing with a back injury - if they get up big, or allowing quarterback Russell Wilson to be the focal point of the offense if the game is close. Also, Lynch has been fairly average in his recent performances, excepting the outlier games against Oakland and New York. Since Week 6, Lynch has failed to eclipse double-digit fantasy points in four of seven weeks, and is averaging just 7.4 points per game with the exception of the two outlier weeks. Let Lynch have another little breather on your bench before you hit the playoffs.
