5 Things I Learned from Week 15 of the NFL Season
Johnny Manziel made his NFL debut, but it was one to forget. What did we learn?

This Is the Best Rookie Wide Receiver Class Ever

Since 1990, 54 wide receivers have caught at least 50 passes during their first seasons in the NFL. Seven of them -- 13% of all 50-plus reception rookie wideouts -- are part of 2014's class. No season outside of 2014 has more than five rookie receivers hitting this mark.

They're not just catching middle-of-the-field, close-to-the-line-of-scrimmage passes, either. Prior to the season, we've seen just three rookie wide receivers catch 10 or more touchdowns in their first season over the last 25 years. Mike Evans already has 10, Odell Beckham has 9 (in 10 games), and Kelvin Benjamin has 9 as well. With two games to go, there's a legitimate chance we'll double the number of rookie wide receivers with 10 or more scores since 1990.

We may not see a wide receiver class like this for years to come.
